We undertake each conservation and restoration project, no matter how large or small, with the same appreciation and respect of the history, tradition, techniques and materials of each individual piece ensuring the greatest care, attention to detail and value of the artifact.

The Gower House Gilt Table

This magnificent 18th century gilt table needed conservation and restoration

A new and lighter faux Carrara top was painted by Ian to replace the heavy original marble

Conservation & Restoration of the Collection

Over the past thirteen years as part of a specialist team of restorers we regularly stay for a week at a time to maintain the collection.

Wilton House is a major location for the filming of TV programmes and films, and so during this time,
damage occurs.
The Virgin Mary
Clean & Restoration

This statue of the Virgin Mary needed a complete clean and restoration.
​
This involved the removal of many layers of gloss paint​. After cleaning greater detail was revealed that could not have been seen previously.
Modelling for the replacement of missing hand and fingers was then undertaken
.
Then was sympathetically repainted.
